Fun little course. On the shorter side. The greens were in good condition. Some of the tee boxes were pretty beat up and at least in late summer green grass was hard to find, even in some of the fairways. There’s some extreme dog leg holes like I haven’t seen anywhere else. Disclaimer - driving range is a generous description for the warm up area - Irons only, very short and there’s not a great place to hit from as the mats are completely worn out. A small bucket if you must.
My buddy and I played 18 here today. I've been seeing reviews about the course being in awful shape, quite the opposite. It was in good shape! If I had one complaint some of the tee boxes were in pretty rough shape, other than that it was pretty damn nice. I'll definitely be back
This is a cheaper course, so poor conditions are to be expected. That’s tolerable. The way this course is marshaled though? About as worse as it gets.
Ended up leaving at the turn and getting into it with who I assume was one of the Marshalls (his name was Tom).
They have a starter who sits at 1&10, and a couple marshals, who are really just a bunch of old retired guys that don’t wanna do their job. Not sure why the course even has a starter or any marshals, if they’re just gonna drive around aimlessly and talk back to anyone that is concerned with the extremely slow pace.
The younger guy in the clubhouse deserves some credit. He was polite, told ‘Tom’ to stop (also not sure why Tom was even in the clubhouse when you have 4 groups on one hole), and he even gave me a rain check for the 9 holes we didn’t play.
So many other course options in the area that I won’t be coming back here. Could be a decent little course, with good value. Just need the old retired guys to do their job or let all the younger people there run the show. They were the only ones actually doing anything.
No one’s got time for a 5 hour round at a course like this, especially with a tee time before 7am.
Great Frickin Golf Course!!!
Definitely going to play again when I return to Oregon.
The only thing good about this course is that's its inexpensive. You get what you pay for here! The course is in bad shape. Almost all the tee boxes are uneven. The greens and fairways were either hard as rocks or super mushy. We booked on-line and there was no option for a power cart option. When we arrived we were told all the carts were reserved. We were confused by this as this is not really normal. They told us because they are privately owned they only have 30 carts available. Really?? There were no disclaimers saying any of this when we booked. A friend played later that day and told me he payed $70 a person with a cart. My group payed $35. $35 per person for a cart?! That's insane! After all this I won't be playing here again. My friend who played later said the same thing. I used to like this course, but it appears things have changed there. Good luck Oregon City Golf Club.
Just a downright horrific experience at this golf course. From the start, the price was astounding. $75 for 18 holes was far over priced. Can play Stone Creek down the road for a similar price. Greens were a nightmare and nothing on their website or when you called them notified they were going to be as bad as they were. You were better off chipping than putting cause the ball had a mind of its own rolling on the greens. Holes, divots, dead grass and patches of sand were all included on the greens. It was all based on luck if it rolled straight. They book tee times so close together and the pace of play is incredibly slow. While playing we had a group in front of us and the Marshall kept pressuring us to hit into them or short psr fours. Going against all golf etiquette. He would just be disrespectful. Wholes searching for a ball on a par 5, mind you the group in front was still not on the green. The Marshall told us to just hurry up and drop a ball to hit at them instead of taking an extra 15 seconds to find my ball. All things considered I would stay from this course and head to Stone Creek or even a cheaper course like Gresham Golf Course or Glendoveer. All much better courses for less money. Should've gotten zero stars.
Very overpriced. Tee boxes were good the rest was poorly maintained. I teed off in a sport bra and shorts set. When I came back through the turn I was told I cannot wear my clothes.
Meanwhile there were men with no collars and Jean shorts shotgunning beers that they did not purchase at the course.
I have have worn this exact same workout set on 4 other courses near by with much better conditions for a lower price.
We golfed this course Aug. 23, 2022 and I must say the fairways and greens were in pretty great shape, especially taking into account the little or no rain that has fallen over the past 45 days or so. I’m guessing the soggy green reviews earlier were made during the or one of the wettest springs the valley has had in record. We walked the front 9 which was fairly level and easy to walk yet the course was challenging but yet not so much for average golfers. It also offered plenty of shade (which was welcomed on that warm and sunny day). The price was very decent (at that time $23 for 9 to walk). Compared to some of the other Wrn Oregon courses we’ve played, definitely 5 stars.
